THANE: A security guard, Yogesh Jadhav (25) was caught red handed while filming a woman colleague at the changing room of their office in Kolshet on Monday. Jadhav, a resident of Manorama Nagar, was arrested by the Kapurbawdi police and charged with invasion of privacy and outraging the modesty of women. He has been sent to police custody for 15 days.
The incident took place around 8pm when the woman (37), who works as an administrator with the security firm, was in the changing room. She suddenly noticed a cellphone being slipped inside from the gap between the door and the floor. "The woman immediately flung open the door and was shocked to see her colleague. She raised an alarm and chased down the fleeing accused," said sub-inspector Amruta Chaware of Kapurbawadi police station.
The episode was captured on the CCTVs set up at the office. Officials at the firm conducted a probe and then decided to register a criminal complaint.
The police have seized Jadhav's cellphone but could not find any video of the woman as she caught him before he could start the filming.
